A Love Letter To God
Dear God,
It is to you I owe my life. Actually, it’s your life. The life you breathe through me. My every breath is yours. My every thought is yours. My whole being is yours. My love is yours. You are the awe in awesome.
Thank you for all that I am and ever will be through my many selves. When I am in alignment with you, it brings me closer to knowing and trusting that which speaks to others through my heart. The you, that has always been there. The love that has always been there. The eternal joy that has always been there.
I think we touch sorrow so that we may know it is you within us that we seek. Again, reminding us that there is no separation, ever.
How can one separate the blue from the sky? The rainbow from its colors? The birds from their songs? The whales from the sea? Our lives from the divine?
It’s impossible in its possibility.
‘There by the grace of God go I’, is a phrase that has many meanings. One of which could be; The grace of our compassion is the knowing that we are connected, no matter what it looks or feels like.
I like this thought.
I will try to look beyond the human face, the outward appearance you have costumed so beautifully to evoke an awaking to see beyond the eyes of my judgements.
I think you play with us by being the many faces of nature and humanity, but I will look for you in every human being, in every tree, in every animal, in every aspect of the natural world. I will do my best to seek you in the suffering being, the joyful being, and in the surprise gifts of love from human nature.
I will endeavor to see you, beyond your camouflage, winking at me. I am in awe of the gifts that you bestow so freely showing that through choice, and even with a little effort on my part, we are always together. Whoohoo!
All Love, Melinda
