Random 🎶s of Gratitude
a beautiful vehicle for calming and cleansing
Playing music from my “Favorites” playlist in my car this morning, a beautiful piece of music randomly popped on. I like using the “shuffle” toggle, with the intent that ‘Source will always play the music I most need to hear right now’, and to my delight, she/he/ they always does.
Sometimes the message is in the lyrics of the music, sometimes in the jam, be it calming or vibed up, sometimes it’s about the person the music evokes, sometimes it’s about the musician(s) or composer (s), who may need some blessings and love sent their way, and sometimes it’s a combination of the above. When this happens, I send thoughts of love, gratitude and blessings to whomever is invoked in my memory by that musical experience and of course a big ‘Thank You’ to Source for the choice.
This morning it was a combination of the music and the musicians that evoked calm and oodles of gratitude for their ability to transcend the musical world, and talk to me at the Spirit level, assisting me with the message of ‘Slow down and breathe, all is well.’
How appropriate is that message for these hectic times?!
A big smile appeared when the ‘Source’ selected piece of music started to play. Recognizing it and the musicians, I immediately began to slow down and consciously breathe, taking slow deep breaths as if being prompted by the gentle wisdom coming through the music. It was both relaxing and soothing.
This particular piece of music was a track from inhale slowly, World-Fusion music from world class composers/musicians Tim White and Joe Paulino. You might recognize a snippet of the music from the opening to the Wisdom Keepers of Earth® YouTube series.
Music can be such a beautiful vehicle for calming and cleansing one’s mental and emotional states. Have you ever been the lucky one to fall asleep during a classical music concert, soaking in the notes while deeply relaxing? Or felt your spirit be uplifted by music that brings you joy and makes you want to dance? This is attributed to the power of sound vibrations when allowed to move through our whole being.
I do happen to have a personal connection to Tim White and inhale slowly. His skilled musicianship comes from multi-discipline higher education teaching and many decades as a student of the Sitar with Ali Akbar Khan, one of the acknowledged masters of North India’s classical music. Ali Akbar awarded Tim with a prestigious Vadya Alankar Certificate.
Music playing, I could not resist sending energetic notes of gratitude and blessings to both Tim and Joe for their ability to help me bring myself back to a centered state through listening to their spiritually sensitive music, which prompted my awareness of conscious breathing.

This seemingly ‘random’ music playing on my car system, really was a timely message from the Universe. I know many are being affected by the new incoming cosmic energies, and these energies, as you have probably experienced, can be rather unsettling to the body, mind, spirit connection. Right now, I feel like I have to slow down, breathe, pay extra attention to what I am doing and what’s happening around me, and assume as I’m driving or walking that others simply may not see me.
This is why music is one of the ways I am taking refuge. Music that is helpful to my system, chosen by Source to help me from moment to moment. Through the act of trust, slowing down and conscious breathing, I hope that it sends an unspoken sense of peace and harmony that permeates out of my being, out through my automobile and radiates to those around me. Giving them a chance to drop their shoulders, relax and consciously breathe too. Maybe even smile.
I’m happy to say that it’s not just me who has gravitated to this calming music.
